These are very good tutorials. As the introduction says:
“gimp design tutorials to take a novice and turn them into an expert”

I think ‘skamasle’ is being less than charitable:

“but all are very easy and simple..

Gimp have more power than that, so is nice tutorial but I only say gimp can make more…..”

Very true but a novice has to start somewhere and it is only after (s)he works on and learns the tricks of the trade with a few ‘easy’ tutorials that the novice can be confident.

I used to hold my breath each time I use gimp and then go back to photoshop (pirated). With the new release yesterday (the dmg version) and these tutorials, I guess I will give gimp a try a-gain. Hope to make it my primary tool soon. Thank you for presenting this list.

Gimp provides a decent toolset considering it’s free but, it’s obsolete as compared to Photoshop. I wouldn’t use Gimp for doing anything too serious, just some quick editing and touch-ups should be fine.
