How To Utilize An Ipad As Productivity Tool

I decided recently to purchase an Apple Ipad. I was just amazed by how much of a great productivity tool it could be if used smartly. Therefore I’ve decided to write this article upon how you can utilize a Ipad as tool for increasing productivity.

I know most tasks on an Ipad can be achieved using a laptop but its more of a slick beautiful user experience. Its just easier to carry around a small Ipad or tablet around with you rather than a clunky laptop, which you cant use at ease.

E-mails

What i find is a fair portion of my time is consumed by replying to emails, therefore being able to read through and reply to emails while laying down in bed lightens my work load drastically of  what i need to accomplish for that specific day. Email alerts also are available on an Ipad allowing you the opportunity to reply to emails as soon as they are sent.

Task Management

Two fundamental apps which I use on a day to day basis is Remember The Milk and Wunderlist two great task management apps. I use Remember The Milk to mange my daily tasks and activity’s, where as Wunderlist is more used to managed long term tasks i.e. Tasks which I need to do within the space of a month or two.

 

Task management is essential for getting work done, the Ipad allows you to do this perfectly. While making making your task managing an enjoyable process.

Enhancing Photos

If you enjoy taking photos and haven’t got the patients to play around with various photoshop filters to enhance a photo, there are so many apps available for you to do so which allows you to quickly and easily apply various filters to photos from the click of a button. To be fair the filters are not spectacular or anything but fairly decent considering how effortless it is to enhance a photo using an Ipad.

Reading RSS Feeds

I usually spend hours reading through my few RSS feeds. There is a great app for the Ipad called Flipboard which styles the RSS feed into into an magazine format, which is perfect because for skimming through RSS feeds to chose articles of interest to read.

Managing Finances

I use my Ipad to mange my finances with several financing apps to help me maintain a budget which is perfect for myself, because it allows me to track my expenditures as well as money which is coming in. There are also several banking apps which allow you to transfer money from numerous bank accounts, which is perfect if you are a freelancer because it allows you to rapidly check if a payment made by a client has been received and the money is in your bank account.

Note Taking

Usually through out my day i have to make a quick notes and making mental reminders to myself personally it doesn’t work effectively as writing it down. Evernote is a great app available for the Ipad which allows you to quickly jot notes which may be a reminder or simply a cool website to check out when you get the opportunity to do so.

Blogging

If your blog is powered by WordPress then manging and writing blog posts can be done from the comfort of your Ipad. Using the Worpdress Ipad app it will allow you to do numerous tasks from approving comments to checking daily visits to your blog. If you want to keep proactive while on a train been able to write a blog post from your Ipad is perfect.

Reading E-books

Knowledge is power and been able to have millions of electronic books at your disposal to read really does make the time pass quicker, while been educated on a specific  topic which may be very vague to yourself upon a certain subject.
