Hello, and welcome to Creative Nerds. In this Photoshop tutorial, we will be sharing with you how you can use the new pattern preview tour available in Photoshop 2021. This is a great new addition to Photoshop. So let’s jump straight into it. So, you want to start off by heading over to view. And we want to select pattern preview. And then, we want to select okay. And then what you want to do from here is we want to, we can… For instance, we can grab the shape tool. So the head of the shape tool. For instance, say coincidentally you just trace a circle. It will then repeat the circle as a seamless pattern. So, you could just essentially just create, keep creating shapes in this boundary box. Just fill in all the white spaces, or you can go outside the boundary box. And they’ll start filling in all those gaps for us which is really cool. And in a matter of seconds, you create, like, a unique circle pattern in a matter of seconds. And then this is a seamless pattern which you can use cross over designs. So what you want to do is from there is set Windows, and set patterns. And this will bring up the pattern panel. And from there we can select new pattern, and give it a name. So you could call it Circle Pattern, and then set okay. And then if we was to open a new document. So, we’ll just do it at 750 by 750. And then if you head over to the rectangle tool. I’m just gonna draw a rectangle out in the middle of the canvas. I’m gonna right click on that layer and set blending options. And then, I’m gonna set pattern overlay. And I’m just gonna set a new pattern that we’ve just created. So let’s go right to that. There it is. And if you make this bigger you can see how a pattern is now a pair that we’ve just created which is really cool. And if you go out to the blending options we can also we can scout on the pattern. So you can see more of it. So if you scale it down, and there you go. You created a cool, circle, seamless pattern in a matter of seconds. And the same effect can be applied to almost any shape or a brush to create a cool, unique, seamless pattern in a matter of seconds. It’s a great, new addition to Photoshop.
