Best of the web for Design and Web Development February 2023
- March 1st, 2023
This is the second month of the year, and we are excited to present some of the best design tutorials that were published throughout the month. We have gathered tutorials for Photoshop, Affinity, and Illustrator, which we believe will be a great resource for designers looking to improve their skills.
In addition to the tutorials, the second half of this post is filled with design articles covering a variety of topics. We have articles on how to fix the 500 Internal Server Error in WordPress, tips on how designers can ask for and receive high-quality feedback, and more.
We understand that design can be a challenging field, and it’s important to stay updated with the latest trends and techniques. That’s why we hope you find this month’s round-up helpful and informative. We look forward to sharing more valuable resources with you in the future.

All is going fine and one day it happens. The infamous HTTP 500 internal server error in WordPress arrives to spoil the party. The HTTP 500 internal server error is a server-side issue and not a client-side one. Something has malfunctioned on the server side. Finding the root cause is tricky, as this internal server error for WordPress can be caused by multiple issues. So, the way to fix the WordPress 500 internal server error is to tackle all the major causes one by one and see if any one of them solves the issue.
This Valentine’s day, we’re celebrating size container queries and container query units landing in all stable browsers.
Designers often complain about the quality of feedback they get from senior stakeholders without realizing it’s usually because of the way they initially have framed the request. In this article, Andy Budd shares a better way of requesting feedback: rather than sharing a linear case study that explains every design revision, the first thing to do would be to better frame the problem.
It’s a question I hear asked quite often: Is it possible to create shadows from gradients instead of solid colors? There is no specific CSS property that does this (believe me, I’ve looked) and any blog post you find about it is basically a lot of CSS tricks to approximate a gradient. We’ll actually cover some of those as we go.
